Originally from Idaho, Dan Fulkerson completed his Juris Doctor degree at California Western School of Law in San Diego in conjunction with his Masters of Business Degree at University of California simultaneously. He has successfully handled over 7,500 car accident cases and personally helped recover tens of millions of dollars for victims. Dan’s personal experiences with serious injury car accidents, combined with his experience handling thousands of accident cases, make Dan a dynamic accident injury attorney who helps get his clients the results they deserve. In addition to Attorney Dan Fulkerson’s impressive success rate, it is evident to clients that Dan goes out of his way to treat you like family. Outside of work, Dan loves spending time with friends, family, and his three English bulldogs; Winston, Stella and Dolly.
Paul grew up in Los Angeles, California and completed his Juris Doctor degree at California Western School of Law. Paul Batta has handled thousands of personal injury cases giving him a wide variety of exposure to various personal injury type cases in San Diego and surrounding Southern California counties. Paul connects very well with clients providing them the security and care they need during their legal experience. Outside of work, Paul loves spending time with his wife Natalie, and his family and friends. He enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and giving back to the community. Paul is fluent in Arabic and caters to the Arabic community across the state of California. He is currently learning Spanish as his third language.
Ed is originally from New York and spent the first part of his legal career with an International Law Firm in New York City. Eventually, Ed found his way to California and started practicing law in Los Angeles. Ed’s work focused around insurance defense and he became one of the main trial attorneys for a large insurance company. After years of trying cases for the insurance companies, Ed decided it was time to cross the aisle and represent plaintiffs. Ed has been working as a trial attorney, defending plaintiffs' rights for nearly ten years and has recovered tens of millions of dollars for his clients. In his over 25 years of experience, Ed has tried dozens of cases and is one of the leading trial attorneys in San Diego. In his spare time, Ed loves to spend time with his two sons, Mac and Mitchell, and his wife, Couri. He is an avid reader and rides his beach cruiser around San Diego Bay every evening.
Originally from San Diego, Taylor spent the latter part of his childhood in the San Francisco Bay Area. He quickly returned, however, earning his bachelor’s from San Diego State University and his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law. After law school, Taylor spent the early part of his legal career at the San Diego Public Defender’s Office, where he completed over 50 jury trials; everything from misdemeanors to homicides. After over five years in the criminal arena, Taylor decided it was time to fight for plaintiffs in civil court. When Taylor is not in the courtroom, he’s playing his guitar and piano, travelling, backpacking, and playing baseball.
A San Francisco native with humble beginnings, Jason Conforti graduated law school from the University of San Diego in 2009. Mr. Conforti then became a partner at Conforti & Turner LLP, where he represented clients all throughout California in the areas of business litigation (formation?), personal injury and criminal defense. Jason became one of the youngest attorneys appointed by the federal judiciary to serve on the Criminal Justice Act (“CJA”) Material Witness Panel. In his capacity as a material witness attorney, Mr. Conforti represented the rights of hundreds of material witnesses in the Southern District of California. Jason Conforti brings to Batta Fulkerson nearly a decade of litigation experience in state and federal court. Jason enjoys spending his little free time traveling and experiencing new places with his family.
Attorney John W. Houts has been a licensed attorney in the State of California for more than 44 years. He is a 1968 graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara and a 1971 graduate of the University of California Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. Mr. Houts owned his own Bankers Hill law office for over 20 years and has focused his practice on personal injury cases representing a wide variety of clients. Mr. Houts also has expertise in recreational boating litigation and is a member of both the San Diego and Catalina Island Yacht Clubs. He is an avid motorcycle rider and owns six bikes, ranging from a Harley Davidson Low Rider to a BMW R1200R. He understands all aspects of accident causation and is skilled at developing liability, even when the official reports may be against the rider.
Charlotte grew up in New Jersey and began her career in the entertainment industry at a young age. After obtaining her B.A. in Theater from Rider University, she moved to Las Vegas and worked professionally as a performer on the Las Vegas Strip for eight years and was featured in local television commercials. While in Vegas, Charlotte earned a certificate in holistic nutrition and became a nationally qualified fitness competitor. Charlotte always said, if she ever stopped performing, she would become an attorney. And in 2014, that’s exactly what she did. She moved to San Diego, attended California Western School of Law, and graduated with high honors in the top 2% of her class. During law school, Charlotte worked as an extern for the Honorable Judge Bencivengo and as a law clerk at Thorsnes Bartolotta Mcguire. In September of 2016, Charlotte had the honor and privilege of working for one of the most renowned trial attorneys in California, Mr. Robert Hamparyan, where she went on to become the youngest associate trial attorney ever to work at his firm after passing the bar. As an attorney at Hamparyan Injury Lawyers, Charlotte gained invaluable litigation experience and worked on a variety of cases including wrongful death, premises liability, strict product liability, government tort claims, and many others. Charlotte is honored to join the Bulldog Attorney Family as the firm’s first female attorney! She is excited to be a part of this rapidly growing litigation team and is also ecstatic that she will continue to work closely with Mr. Hamparyan, as he is officially “Of Counsel” to Batta ǀ Fulkerson.
ROBERT M. SAGERIAN
Robert M. Sagerian is a skilled trial attorney who routinely takes cases to trial when it is in the best interest of his client. Robert cares deeply for his clients and their cause. Having previously defended ordinary people against the full force of the government, Robert will zealously advocate on your behalf to ensure the insurance companies provide full and just compensation.
He honed his trial skills during a six and a half year career with the San Diego County Public Defender's Office. Robert handled thousands of cases--ranging from drug posession to murder. He's tried over 35 cases to verdict and argued countless motions. Now, Robert exclusively represents plaintiffs in personal injury practice.
Mr. Sagerian graduated Magna Cum Laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. While in law school, he served as an editor on the Thomas Jefferson Law Review and earned a Burton Award for Distinguished Legal Writing for his article “A Penalty Flag for Preemption.” He also captained the team that won the TYLA Regional Mock Trial Competition. To gain practical experience during law school, Mr. Sagerian worked at Gomez Trial Attorneys. There, he learned the nuts and bolts of personal injury practice from John Gomez, one of the nation’s most recognized trial lawyers. Recently, Mr. Sagerian served as section instructor for the University of San Diego' M.S. Law Enforcement curriculum.
In his spare time, Mr. Sagerian loves adventures with his wife; playing with his two dogs and cat, golfing, softball, camping, and serving at his church, The Rock Point Loma.

Carolyn Luchetti, litigation paralegal has worked in law since the early 90s shortly after she moved from New Mexico. Carolyn has thoroughly enjoyed working with Dan and Paul for about 8 years. She has worked with many wonderful clients, lawyers and vendors in San Diego. In her spare time she spends it with her kids, grandsons, Rocky her dog and plays guitar.
Jose has worked in personal injury for roughly ten years. He brings expertise in maintaining client relationships and is an invaluable asset to the Batta Fulkerson team, known internally as our Jose-of-all-trades. He is from San Diego and enjoys all the types of food that this city has to offer. In his free time, Jose loves to travel the world and explore places off the grid. Originally from Virginia, Anthony escaped the cold weather and landed in San Diego upon joining the Navy. Mr. Scimeca has worked in personal injury for a number of years and has great skill in communicating with the doctors and chiropractors that we work closely with for clients. In Anthony’s spare time, he enjoys rock climbing and working with nonprofits around San Diego to help give back to our community. Ask Anthony about his latest completed climbing route!
Lindsay was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area before making her way down to Sunny San Diego. Prior to working at Batta|Fulkerson as a legal assistant, she spent some time running her own small business. Lindsay’s great smile and optimistic nature warm up any room and she helps manage our clients medical records to ensure fast and efficient progress of their case. In her free time, Lindsay enjoys going to the beach with her dog and attending concerts.
Born and raised in San Diego, Omar has worked in personal injury for around seven years. Omar loves to workout, play soccer and practice jiu jitsu. He is fluent in Spanish, has his black belt in Mexican judo, and loves trying new types of foods with friends. Connor, also known as our go-to demand letter writer, is originally from San Diego and has returned back home after attending California State University in Chico. Connor is a paralegal and brings experience in Insurance Law from his prior work experience. Connor has a magnetic personality and enjoys watching live music, going to the beach and surfing. He also lived in Florence, Italy for a year, where he learned how to speak Italian. Ask Connor something in Italian!
Maria was born and raised in Mexico and she fully embraces both of her nationalities. Maria is a fantastic asset to our team as she worked in the legal field for more than five years before joining Batta Fulkerson. In Maria’s spare time, her husband and her travel to Tijuana and participate in charity work. Ask Maria about her latest quest in Tijuana and the great deeds that she has been involved in!
Alivia grew up outside of Boston, Massachusetts. She ended up moving to Upstate New York for college and completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics at Syracuse University. While at Syracuse, she was a Division I Cheerleader, which allowed her to travel all over the country for games and appearances. Ultimately, California stole her heart, and she moved to San Diego following graduation to begin her degree in law. Alivia is now in her final semester of law school and plans to stay in Southern California post-grad. In her spare time, She enjoys working out, playing with puppies, and reading!
Born in Mexico but raised in San Diego, Michel has worked in personal injury for 5 years. Michel graduated from San Diego State University with a double major in Communications and Spanish; also, he also holds a Paralegal Studies Associates Degree from Southwestern College. In his spare time, Michel loves to play his guitars and bass, play soccer, and travel. Michel also lived in Madrid, Spain, where he got to explore and exchange the cultural differences between Mexico and Spain. Ask Michel where he will travel to next.
Jonathan, born and raised in San Diego, is a student at San Diego State University studying Business Administration. He has several years of experience working in personal injury firms. Jonathan assists the firm both in clerical work as well as digital marketing. Jonathan enjoys anything outdoors, especially hiking, backpacking, and rock climbing. He is also passionate about photography and frequently spends his free time out shooting.
