We just settled at case for $70,000 for our client was was injured after being rear ended by a drunk driver.
Thankfully, our client didn’t suffer serious injuries, but she had to go to the emergency room and sought care with a chiropractor for several months.
When we went to settle the case with the at fault party’s insurance they made an extremely low ball offer. Due to the DUI, we filed a lawsuit and asked for punitive damages. The judge granted the punitive damages and we were able to settle the case for five times what had originally been offered. The client is beyond happy and hopefully the defendant learned a lesson.
