At Batta Fulkerson Law Group, we help accident victims get the medical care they need and the compensation they deserve.

Clients often ask us which insurance company they should go through to repair or replace their vehicle. We always advise these clients that if they have comprehensive coverage through their insurance carrier, then they should pay the deductible and have their own insurance pay to fix or replace the vehicle. This is because your insurance will fight for you.

Your insurance company will fight to get the money back that they spent to fix or replace your automobile. Once they get their money back, then they will pay your deductible back to you as well.

If you do not have comprehensive coverage, then you have to wait for the at-fault party to accept responsibility in the case, then they will pay for fixing your car or totaling your car. They will also pay for storage and rental fees.

This is riskier, however, so we always advise clients to contact their own insurance carrier and have them handle the repairs.
